Poached Pears

Poached Pears

  • 1 bottle of Secco Champagne
  • 10 cinnamon sticks
  • 20 Pears
  • 1/2 cup of cloves
  • 3 oranges halved
  • 1 cup of Sugar
  • 6 Litres of water

Prep pears: Peel, half, core.  Place in pot with all ingredients.  Cover with parchment and wrap pot with tin foil.  Use a oven safe container where all pears can lay flat.

Bake in 350’F oven for 2 hours.  Serve on icecream, on a salad, or by themselves.  Perfect for a thanksgiving addition.
