Double Chocolate Banana Bread

Double Chocolate Banana Bread 

  • 4 Bananas
  • 1/2 butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cups golden brown sugar
  • 1 Egg (Large)
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Cup of All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup of Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Cup of Semi or Bittersweet Chocolate Chips/Chunks


Preheat oven to 350′.  Mashed Bananas in a bowl, whisk in the melted butter, sugar, egg.  Combine dry ingredients together and slowly incorporate.  Slowly blend (do not over mix).  I transferred into my silicon bunt pan, if you just have a ceramic or glass pan/loaf pan that will work as well (with those, ensure you grease.  Place in oven, middle rack for 30-45 minutes.  Check with tooth pick (if it comes out clean, or finger, if it springs back up–it is ready to take out.  Cool down then flip.  I cut into pieces and freeze for snacks, it is so good it may not last that long.
