Wok Style Pork & Cabbage

Wok Style Pork & Cabbage

Wok Style Pork & Cabbage

  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 lbs of Lean Ground Pork
  • 1/2 Head of Shredded Cabbage
  • 1/2 Leek (washed and diced)
  • 6 White Mushroom sliced
  • 4 Carrots sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Flakes
  • 2 Teaspoon of Fish Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter (I used natural)
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 1 Tablespoon of Soya Sauce

First off, I apologize I haven’t been posting–who knew how much time a baby takes in your life.  I am lucky that I get to get into the kitchen to actually prepare a full meal.  When I do I quite enjoy it and tell myself to set time aside to do this.  I know my husband would enjoy that.

This recipe is a one-Wok recipe that I made up tonight.  I needed a quick dinner, that was able to be prepared with a 7 month old babe.  IMG_4339.JPGIMG_4342.JPGIMG_4343.JPG

Start with the sesame oil in the wok on medium heat–add the pork, once browned add in the garlic, minced cilantro and red chili flake and salt and pepper to taste.

Then add in all vegetables (cabbage, leek, carrot and mushrooms).  Add fish sauce, peanut butter, soya sauce.

Serve on a bed of buttered steamed rice and garnish with peanuts and lime.
